The Bridges at Saltash

Post by dkightley »

Available for bookings from September 2020¦..

From the builder of the multi-award winning T gauge layout The Bridge, this layout is exactly what the name says. The Bridges at Saltash is a small part of Brunel’s Great Western Railway, where the south coast line crosses the River Tamar at Saltash.

layout size: 2.4m wide x 1.3m deep (req 2.0m depth to include space for operators).

Set current day & depicts the GWR south coast mainline where it crosses the Tamar over Brunel's Royal Albert Bridge. The Tamar vally brach line also runs under the bridge.

If you are interested in inviting this layout to your show, please use one of the following methods to contact the layout owner
* Create an user account on the forum and PM the user
* Send an email to admin@talkingtgauge.net and the forum admin will pass your details on to the layout owner.

As I've had a rush of invitations for the layout, I'm going to put a list of shows to which I've been invited, together with invite progress, et so everyone...show organisers, etc..and me...can see exactly what's happening when.

Sad news....

Chesterfield MRC have deferred the 2021 show to 2022 to make room for the deferred 2020 show. This clashes with another show....so I've had to decline the rearrangement.

.....and 2021 now looks as if its going to unravel as well!

The Trainwest show in April has been cancelled....invited to 2022 show as consolation!

I'm beginning to feel quite concerned about all these clubs who are losing out on their show income.....which will probably be the main source of their clubhouse rent!

It's the same problem down here in Oz. Many clubs are still looking at resuming next year, but it really seems unlikely. As they said in 1914 and 1939, it will all be over by Christmas.
