Minimum Radius

Post by Nutter »

Stupid but simple question
21m motorised chassis what is the minimum radius I can use?
There will be no other rolling stock on the line chassis is in a railbus.

Hello, Mike,
you ask for the smallest possible radius...but not the smallest possible radius

but the smallest true to scale radius is important.

In the standards of European Model Railways (NEM), the

smallest arc radius is defined as follows:

Smallest recommended arc radius = 25 x G (gauge) .... up to 45 x G

Siegfried

edit:

In the standards of European Model Railways you can also find the capture

In model railway operation, a superelevation is possible from the

thus the superelevation is calculated for t-gauge

Sorry have not replied to this earlier but other things got in the way.
The reason for my original question is I was asked to produce something that needs to take up as little space as possible (Scale is not an issue here because using T to represent a 1m NG Z line (fictitonal))
The rolling stock will also be used at a later date on a layout more to scale.
