Going back to my idea of different station buildings, how about a 2 storey building incorporating a station masters house?

Interesting that I seem to be posting most ideas -COME ON the rest of you, There are only a finite number of things I can suggest without treading on people who use shapeways toes because I feel I would rather support Doug and the forum.

I can't remember if it's been suggested before but how about a printing service?
I like designing my own bits and bobs but hate waiting for shapeways. How about publishing a set of tolerances and then for a fee and the model made available to all in the shop, and in return you have a model printed locally supporting the forum?
I'm sure this is a minefield of quality control issues, not as expected etc but just an idea!

Now that's something I had promised to do a few months ago....but the pressure of getting on with the layout took priority.

I do have a document started. I'll have to look it out and get it finished off and published.

And Mike is right....I did put a entry in the shop offering a design and print or just a print service. I need to make it more prominent....and provide the info discussed above....

And to follow on from what Mike posted.....yes, I am looking for inspiration from forum users. I'd prefer to spend time developing something someone wants, rather than something I think they might want...when they don't!

Just to back Doug up, I feel he has created a really useful source of stuff.
My orders may only be small each time due to my limited funds but I am more than happy with what has been supplied. Would love to have a custom project made for me, if only I could finalise the Track plan and Location of my layout to be first.

Indeed excellent stuff from Doug. I've just been cleaning up my latest order from him of houses, tunnel portals etc and I'm surprised how tough the stuff is! Even my Swiss files are hard work on it!

I'd love to see semaphore signals but I thing they are too small to 'print'.. perhaps signal ladders might be possible?

Hi Doug.
I have started design and build on a new 'T' gauge London based layout around the 1980s/90s period featuring 3rd rail BR slam door stock and a section of LT surface line operation.
I would like to ask if it would be possible for you to add some London Transport buses to your selection of road vehicles, such as Routemasters and possibly an RT or RTL and maybe also an RF coach please.
They would certainly be helpful to me for my layout.
I look forward to hearing you views on my request, after all you did ask for ideas.

Sounds an interesting layout...you'll have to document progress on it here. And I'll take a look at doing a few double deckers, etc.

I have to admit I'm not geeky enough to instantly recognise what a RT, RLT or RF looks like. Well, that's what Google is for! And that's even after having seen one or two of the London Bus Museum's buses on an away day at Crich at their London special event.

Hi Doug.
Thank you very much for your prompt reply, I'll post some pictures of the buses to help you identify them.
For info An RT was The Standard 1940s/1960s AEC double decker and an RTL was the Leyland engined version, (only visible difference is a Leyland style radiator rather than an an AEC one).
On second thoughts, probably the RF is a little out of period for what I'm doing so an AEC merlin would be more in keeping, if at all possible please.
Whatever you can achieve will be great as no one does any LT buses in 'T'.

They're in the development stage at present....but will appear in the shop very soon.

I think I need to adapt the run around loops for the bridge into a test track assembly....should be simple to do.

Its based on the now closed Galaxy cinema in Long Eaton, Nottingham.

Next will be a Norman church, followed by some rows of 1960s and 1970s shops.
