Post by hank55 »

Hi folks, does anyone know a difference between the Eishindo motorised chassis labelled 049-B and 049-C?

Tis very subtle.....the B suffix clear plastic shell is a rectangular ( or box-car) profile, and the C suffix clear plastic shell is a carriage profile.

In all other respects, I believe the two are the same.

I see... Looks like the B-shell is a little bit lower, correct?

That's something I can't confirm, unfortunately. I don't have any of the "carriage" style shells.

Hank, the B (for Box shape) body is 6.15mm high and the C (based on the HST MK 3 Carriage) is 6.8mm high

alanr: Do you mean the height of the body itself? Or above the rail/ground? I hope A is correct...

Yes, it is the body (shell) height.
