Shall be absent for a while,

Post by Nutter »

The dreaded NHS have decided to address one of my health issues so won't be able to post.
Hope I will be able to see the forum and my models better afterwards.

Another period of absence as am now in the process of packing everything up ready to move to a ground floor flat. The train stuff has already been moved to a safe place ( my mother's house) until everything else is sorted.

I am still about but not sorted from the move yet. Need to sort out somewhere that I can set up my modelling bench but also still have health issues that are more important.

I know the situation you're in, Mike. I helped move my elder daughter move from Suffolk to North Wales last week.....and left her in somewhat of a mess at her new house - boxes everywhere!!!

Take your time getting sorted....and hope your health issues go away sooner rather than later.

Finally back and wanting to get started again.
Health is not going to improve ,am to be classed as disabled  so a small layout is important.
Going to stick with T and not go off on a tangent with Z narrow gauge again.
Theme will be British so I need to look for those little locos and wagons

Hi Mike

Glad to hear you've come out on top in your fight over ill health,,,,and welcome back to the hobby!

I'm afraid to say you've not missed very much in the way of developments in new/improved things from Japan, etc. In fact things have been scarily quiet over the past few months....nobody seemingly doing or saying much. :( :(

See what you mean, not a lot new, not impressed with the electric points. Might try the new fine track(small radius) and want to try one of the scalescenes models as a T gauge structure, have a good collection of them in N .

It was building one of Scalescenes models in T that actually started me off.....a small goods store:

Its sitting on Robins Run.....and I remember it took me a while to do. I was being very careful! And also I didn't have the range of tools I have nowadays for seeing and handling small things!!
