Switchback problem
I have a section of layout with two roads running parallel to notional buffers I put a switchback sensor on each and connected it up. I wanted the train to come to the end of the line and reverse out, going round a loop to arrive at the other road. Even with adjusting sensitivity I cannot make this work. Perhaps the IR output from one is interfering with the other It would help if I kew which part was the transmitter.
Re: Switchback problem
The sensors I have....which are some years old....do have a "T" and an "R" moulded into the back of the individual housings. The "T" is the end with the wires coming out, and the "R" at the non-wire end. I'm assuming they mean Transmitter & Receiver.
