A Black Day for the Model Raiway World

Post by dkightley »

Some may have head or read in the news today the absolutely devastating news that the Market Deeping Model Railway Club's show at Spalding suffered an indescribable trashing by vandals overnight Friday/Saturday. Here's a link to a page on their site that icclude photos of the awful damage: https://www.mdmrc.org/stamford-show-2019.html

There's not much more I can say...….

This was terrible and must be devastating for the people whose models have been destroyed. Hours and hours of work wrecked by mindless idiots. I wonder about young people today, in Britain especially. No money can make amends but I saw that 60,000 pounds has been donated to the club, including 10,000 from Rod Stewart who is a keen modeller.

Just spotted that the JustGiving page has reached the amazing sum of £106,000......which goes to prove that there are some good people out there after all.
