NEW FREE TRACK PLANNING SOFTWARE for T GAUGE

Post by PolarExcess »

Simple Computer Aided Railway Modeller (SCARM) is an excellent, free PC based track planning software. It supported many scales except for T Gauge.

In December 2013 I contacted the SCARM developer about adding T Gauge planning capability. After sending him Eishindo T Gauge Track specifications, the developer promised to include T in the newest update. He delivered, the newest version now supports T gauge track!

SCARM is available for free here: http://www.scarm.info

Given this a try having previously used the free version of any rail.
Pros: unlimited pieces, 3d visualisation, produces a parts list.
Cons: and this is minor but was the one thing i was interested in, no 3d export function.

Having many years ago struggled with Hornby track planning software, a limited amount of playing with this has been mostly enjoyable. The version that includes T track library seems to operate slightly differently from the numerous video tutorials, but essentially the track goes where you want it. Connects as it should. And with gradients and flexible track. Good stuff.
