I just completed my Ozrail Flying Scotsman. Actually, I still have to give the main wheels some graphics. I plan to draw them in illustrator, and make a decal. We will see how it goes!
Ozrail did a great job on its design. It is not an easy model to paint at this size, but a good challenge.

Hi JBModels, I am really looking forward to seeing your 3D model of the Big Boy. I know it will be challenging to design!

Re: UK Stock?
It would be so cool to have a locomotive with moving wheels and connecting rods. A great challenge for manufactures. I did see that TGauge, com is working on one, and I think it will be a big boost to the popularity of TGauge when it is released! However, even a American steam locomotive like the Big...

Re: UK Stock?
Would love to see any American Steam locomotives. I do not have a problem with using a coach for power. I would add a light to the engine so it would look like it was powered when running! The K4 or 4 6 2 Pacific would be great, but why not go for the crazy cool project, the Big Boy. How neat would ...

Hi JB Models,
It looks like you are off to a great start in designing some great TGauge products! Keep up the great work. Also, please look at some American locomotives as the market will expand as more of us in the US discover this wonderful scale!

Re: Pennsylvania EMD FP7 A-B-A
The LED really adds to the models looks. The LED is still working well, but has a slight flicker. We will see how long the LED lasts! I wanted to try it without a resistor. I measured the voltage coming out of the two tabs, and it was only around 2.5 volts at 3/4 power. I figured it would work. The ...

Re: Pennsylvania EMD FP7 A-B-A
I had some very small LED's that a friend sent me to use in my micro model planes. I decided to try one on the 16M chassis. It ended up working perfectly! I just soldered it directly to the two tabs on the front of the chassis. I used some thin wire and cut it long enough so I could remove the body ...

Re: Introductions
Hi everyone, I am new to this forum, and TGauge. However, like many of you I have been modeling in Zscale for many years. Actually, I mainly model some of the worlds smallest R/C model aircraft. A few months ago a friend from work told me about TGauge and mentioned that is was 1/2 the size of Z! I i...

Hi Thom,
Thanks for all the help and information on the LED. I will order a LED PCB and see if I can get it to fit the F7 body.

Hi Thom,
Using electrically conductive paint is a great idea. Your pair of E8's look beautiful running on your layout!
I have a few questions for you. Where did you purchase the LED, and what size is it? Did you you have to add a resistor?
Joe.

Re: Pennsylvania EMD FP7 A-B-A
Thanks guys, I am very happy with the way the model turned out. However, the only thing the EMD F7's are missing are lights. Has anyone added an led to the 16M chassis? I am not even sure it would fit in the body, but it would be worth a try.

Re: Pennsylvania EMD FP7 A-B-A
I completed my EMD FP7 A-B-A today! The train runs great. I used some white decal paper from Micro Mark for all of the markings. I have not had much luck with the clear. What I do is match the background of my decal the best I can to my paint. It may take some trial and error, but you cannot see the...

Re: Pennsylvania EMD FP7 A-B-A
SmallCentral, I used the adjustable chassis for the B unit. It is unpowered but that is not a big deal. Neil, I like to paint, but you are right in the fact that you can only add so much detail. Using a decal running the full length of the engine like others have done is a good alternative. If you c...
