Re: Seen Better days
American diesel has arrived - we had to cancel our Xmas running event due to Covid 19 restrictions. The engine was tested today and will indefinitely be staying with us and "Anyone for T". We have no dates for when the miniature railway will run again next but 2 more bespoke carriages are being prod...

Re: Seen Better days
Here's a picture of the completed layout with no where to go. An American outline locomotive is expected to operate on the line at Xmas, I understand it's already nearby. My friend is going to build 2 more bespoke N gauge miniature railways carriages but we are not expecting them to arrive until nex...

Re: Seen Better days
That's the layout finished - just need to put some plastic side panels to stop fingers encroaching onto the layout. I've just written an article about the layout for the N Gauge Society which I hope the journal editor will use next year thanks for the interest and stay safe

Re: David K. Smith back online
Looks like my N gauge miniature railway has inspired DKS - including building his own locomotive

Re: David K. Smith back online
As many of us know DKS is seriously ill. He has started to put on line a short message each day really to tell us he is still on this planet. He has finished many of his N gauge projects

Re: Seen Better days
The bus is meant to be a simulator brought in to thrill people by pretending to be a bus going downhill out of control, but as you can see it's closed due to lack of customers. It's a N gauge 1:150 3D model from Outland models based in China and available on Ebay. Apart from the miniature railway al...

Re: N gauge miniature rolling stock
Here's my second type of carriage of which I only have the one. It's made from the JNR12' container wagon set ref.041B. Now I'm sure some people could 3D print this type of carriage body, but my friend is a true scratch build modeller and has removed the containers and weights, plus he has added som...

N gauge miniature rolling stock
These are for my new layout "Seen Better Days" which as N gauge scenery and a miniature railway running around a park, This uses T gauge track and stock and would equate to an 18in gauge miniature railway in full scale. I bought RTR chassis from Tgauge.com and a friend of mine who is an excellent mo...

Couplings
I'd like a simple answer or answers on how to fit couplings and springs into wagons and carriages please, without them jumping everywhere never to be seen again. Just the standard couplings.

Re: Seen Better days
I have been running round the class 67 and 2 carriages without their bodies which will become miniature railway carriages for this N gauge scene in due course. Also a good opportunity to move buildings around to see which I like best

So here we are at the start of September with most of the scenery in place and chassis sent to a friend to see if he can build me some miniature railway carriages.

Re: Anyone for T
This layout uses O gauge people and scenery - now working on a similar idea but using T gauge as a miniature railway in a N gauge setting. See "Seen Better Days" under the T gauge layouts on this site. I'm pleased so many people remember this layout and glad I've got it working again

Re: Seen Better days
Having bought more T gauge track this is the third and final track plan for my N gauge miniature railway. It just fits in the space available. The class 67 pulls 3 MK1 coaches around the oval, but struggles with 4 so should pull a couple of miniature railway coaches if I can build them. I'm now goin...
