Re: Shelf Layout
Any chance you could share what code you used for your Arduino? Is it just a basic PWM control sketch? I was thinking about DCC, couldn't we simplify things by removing the 13V stuff? We're using a 5V base station and a 5V motor, and the only reason to use higher voltage is because larger scales use...

First attempt at a design and print
While I'm still musing over my first layout I'm fairly certain it's going to be based around local stuff, so decided to have a go at modelling something, starting with something simple, in more ways than one! So here is my first try at a Class 144. Screenshot (34)-01.jpeg Designed in Fusion 360, I m...

Re: Where to source Gears?
Hmm. I've read through many threads and not come across one. I'll try looking again. I found discussion of gears and drivetrains but no suppliers.

Where to source Gears?
I've seen the geared axles on tgauge shop, but where can you get others, like worms for the motors.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Questions on decal paper
Hi, I've seen that a custom body+ transfer decal seems to be a great way to get a detailed livery. So roughly, I pick a power chassis kit, model and print a body shell, design the livery and print on transfer paper then apply? I'm guessing the thinnest paper is best to adhere to the shell properly? ...

Reviews of RTR stock? (Class 67)
Are there any detailed reviews out there? I've been looking for info on the Class 67, like how well does it run compared to others, does it have lights, can you fit DCC Inside? There's a lot more info I've found on the Class 43, mostly on here, but still no real review. As an aside, do we know if th...

Re: 3D modeling tool
I use Fusion 360. Free for hobbyists and very powerful.
Printing wise Cura for slicing and my little Ender printer, which at 0.06mm laters can be surprisingly detailed.

Re: Shelf Layout
Oh of course, I had only looked at DIY DCC for larger scales previously, and it hadn't clicked that you could run it directly. The voltages and current are low enough for the output pins, and I found an old Uno in a box the other day. Your layout is looking great so far, the smoothness of the stop i...

Hi! Just discvered T Gauge.
Thought I'd do a little introduction post as I've just registered here. I'm from Leeds, I've just discovered the world of T gauge, as a kid I had a random box of HO from a car boot or somewhere, can't remember the details now! Then about 10-15 years ago I had a little N gauge collection, but never b...
