Hi There,
It's been a while since I've made a contribution to Talking T Gauge. I've been very busy with my studies at City of Glasgow College over the past year. I have just completed year 1 of a 2 year HND in Model Making for the Creative Industries and I am loving every minute of it. After a career in film and TV for the last 25 years or so as a camera op/DOP I decided to go back to school and learn how to make models professionally. I missed working creatively with my hands and wanted to add a few more strings to my bow.
I am currently working on a personal project which I originally started over a year ago. I decided to pull it down from the shelf and get stuck in over the summer break. This is prototype model number 2 of a sequence of Box Model ideas I have been developing. This one is called "Viaduct" and is similar in dimensions as "Ravine" which I completed last year. The T Gauge track loop and landscapes are housed in a high quality solid oak "tool box" enclosure. They are designed to be removed from the box if desired and are fully operational. The box also contains 2 small storage boxes and a PWM controller.
Here are some pictures of the work in progress so far.
