Warley MRC Show 2016 - NEC, Birmingham

Postby dkightley » Sun Jan 31, 2016 7:23 pm

Just had an email inviting The Bridge to this year's Warley Model Railway Club show at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham on November 26th and 27th.

For those not in the know, the Warley show is the biggest model railway show in the UK....TGauge.com was here last year & I'm hopeful Alan will be coming this year....which will mean the first time two substantial T Gauge layouts will be on display at the same show.

Oh that's excellent. I normally go to that show, looking forward to seeing The Bridge for real.

Warley is now only five weeks away.......and I'm ready as I'll ever be at this point!

Who's going to the show????

If you do come, do make a point of introducing yourself.

We've made it onto the front page of the Warley show's website: http://www.thewarleyshow.co.uk/

Which brings be nicely onto something I want to ask.......is there anyone who has time desire and time to assist with running The Bridge at this show?

I have unowned Exhibitor passes for the show and will be able to ensure parking fees are taken care of. So....if there's anyone who is able to help, please PM me as soon as possible. I really could do with some help fielding all the questions there will be on T.

Well....I'm really disappointed! :( :(

Here we have the UK's biggest model show....and I'm going to be the only member of the T gauge community attending! :?

Let's hope the general public like what they are going to see! ;)

I'm gutted that I can't even make it as a visitor as I'm training for a new job. Warley is usually a must see for me each year. I wish you the best of luck with it!

I also would love to be able to get there, especially with your offer of passes for the hall and the parking, and I would have been more than happy to help (it would not be the first time, in the past I have paid to get into an exhibition, and then still ended up operating a layout for a couple of hours). But, alas, even with the cost reduced as you offered I still just can not make it that weekend due to a family commitment that has been a long time planned.

I can only wish you all the best, hope all goes really well for you, and that you have time to both operate the layout and spread the word at the same time.

I went to the show on the Saturday Doug and saw The Bridge, wow, such a lot of work gone into that. Great to see it for real. Kept on meaning to introduce myself but everytime I turned up there there were loads of people around and talking to you.

What happened to the T Gauge folk from Scotland? Disappointed not to see them there. Looking at their website it looks like they were aiming to be there. Did you have good show? Certainly a lot of folk around your layout.

Shame I missed meeting you, Rich. And yes, it was very busy on the Saturday. I was in my favourite place.....out front talking to visitors!

Alan and Lorraine from TGauge.com were not at Warley because I think they may have been attending a show somewhere in Europe, and also because GS Model Supplies , who are the only UK model shop offering T gauge, had a stand there and had a good range of T products on display.
