t in a suitcase

Postby tonytcat » Mon May 15, 2017 12:34 pm

Hi Here are photos of my effort of building a layout in an old suitcase. the layout has four isolated sections of track with toggle switch for power on/off & provision for two controllers.

What a superb layout....with plenty of detail. :D :D

I do, however, have to admit that I would have preferred to see the layout on a board rather than "inside a suitcase". But that's just my prejudice after having heard criticism and ridicule of the scale by some of those who model in larger scales....those who see the scale as a "gimmick" by it being shown inside a case of one form or another. But that's just me....and I don't want to take away from the fact that your layout is very, very good and shows a high level of workmanship

Hell0 Unfortunatly i live in a small bungalow & already have a z gauge layout on a board which is on pulleys to the back bedroom ceiling.& the other half didnt want any more on dislplay. so for some of us /me it was the best option & as least it lifts out.
