T gauge is on my mind but flying season has got me distracted

I was looking at an art gallery for sale in a very old logging town in the coastal mountains north of here and in the the general store was this painting of the town done about a hundred years ago....

This photo was taken about 100 yards down from the general store > there's no visible trace of the railroad....(bummer)

The painting has really got me thinking........

The town is Cazadaro in the coastal mountains north of San Francisco California.....

I wasn't going to pull out the train set till the end of RC flying season but the locomotive turn around in the painting of Cazadero has got me falling off the wagon....addiction wise

I'm going to need Niel's Dr. Who Tardis for time travel now that I'm sandwiching a 19th century feature between two 20th century features......oh well..

One of the neat things about T is you can have a fairly large toy train set and store it in a fairly small space....Starting a painting so it's up against the wall for the toy train...

I got a great gift for Christmas>This made from scratch(carved from a piece of balsa) rescue helicopter ....neat

the maker apologized for not being able to do the lettering..(!!!)...I explained that I have to use cumputer printed decals and a microscope...whew
