Here's a simple tutorial to show how easy it is to upload picture in your posts on the forum.
Firstly, you will need to check a couple of things about your picture.....The type of image file and the size of the file for your picture. Most popular file types are supported (.jpg, .png, .bmp...to name a few), and the maximum file size allowed for upload is 450kBytes. Adjust the size of your picture using one of the many image editing software packages ( eg Paint Shop Pro, Gimp, etc.
Also please note that if your image is wider than 850 pixels, or deeper than 1200 pixels, then instead of the image displaying within your post, it will be replaced with a link to the image, which when clicked, will display the image full size in a separate window.
Start creating your post in the normal way using the "Post Reply" button.
Images are uploaded using the tab at the bottom of the post window as shown here:
Select the tab and you will see a filename box, a "Browse" button and an "Add the File" button.
Click the "Browse" button and using the Windows Explorer style interface, select the image you want to upload. The file path will appear in the filename box.
Click the "Add this file" button, and the file will upload. A Posted Attachment list will start under the post text box.
To put the image "inline" ( as the images are in this post), follow the instructions here:
Some text will appear with Attachment labels, as shown here:
Submit your post.
You can attach up to five images into each post....all in the same way as shown above. The end result of this tutorial is in the next post.
