3D Printing Demonstrations

Postby dkightley » Mon Jul 31, 2017 1:08 am

I've got a couple of 3D printing demonstrations lined up in the next month or so...

Firstly, at the Models Weekend at Crich Tramway Village, which is Sat/Sun 19th/20th August. The Bridge made an appearance there last year, but this year there's a good number of predominantly tram based layouts on show...including a few superb 1/16th scale trams on loan to the Museum that were built over 50 years ago. See here for a few photos, etc: ... n-service/

And in early September, the 2nd and 3rd to be precise, I've been invited to put on a demo of 3D printing at the Soar Valley Model Railway Show being held in Loughborough.

I'm hoping to have both my printers on show printing various parts and will be able to show visitors that 3D printing is not the "super duper download and print-anything" process the marketing people make it out to be!!
