https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zritjXzTfc I've had this happen several times and it really drove me nuts until I figured out what was happening .... This can actually stop the loco from moving even though the drive train is still turning ... Or if it's moving it does so in pulses ....

Fortunately a new axle will fix it
