Any one sucessfully made a turntable?

Postby Nutter » Wed Jul 01, 2015 7:04 pm

Wondered if anyone has successfully made a working tuntable.
Knowing I am modelling Zm with Autorails and when I get it Ivans Beast. In practice the Autorails were turned to keep the radiator at the front, I want to try and get it right.

DON'T knock it at least I am trying to do something, with only one good hand.

I thought it was Ivan's model I remembered seeing on Shapeways in a "NOT FOR SALE" form.

A turntable would be an interesting project to do if I hadn't so much on at the moment. :(

One of my many bookmarks is for this site back when modelling in Nm or HOf seemed like a good idea.

Not sure whether it could be modified or build for 3mm track?

OK looks like I might have to try making one, would be a one off because I can't get my head round any CAD software. Can do it using a drawing board and paper :o
Thinking about a working version of a French metre gauge line one, would just be the one track in and used for turning an Autorail/Loco
only.

Matt I know their products looked at them for 009 and 09 but never bothered as I gave up on those scales.
