Brainfade here - Question bogies

Postby Nutter » Wed Jun 06, 2018 6:27 pm

OK can't find my digital caliper, want to fit bogies from an adjustable chassis on something else.
What size do I need to drill the hole for the fixing screw?

Hi Mike

I'm not easily able to measure the minimum dimension of the thread on the bogie attachment screw......but a good starting point is to find the largest drill you have where the shank will slip effortlessly into one of the unused holes in the adjustable chassis where you have just taken the screw out of. And then hand power the drill into whatever you now want to "tap" the screw into.

looks like 0.8mm hole will work, might try the next size smaller first.
